This training offers practical guidance on the day-to-day operation of key tools, systems, and equipment commonly found in gym facilities. It is designed to ensure that all staff are familiar with how to safely and efficiently use, adjust, and troubleshoot essential infrastructure and workplace devices.

The course covers:

  • Operation of floor fans, ceiling fans, and HVAC systems
  • Using in-gym tablets to control music, televisions, and other digital systems
  • Basic functions of facility computers and media setups
  • Proper use of televisions, remote controls, and streaming interfaces
  • Handling of water faucets, sinks, and humidifiers
  • Access and security procedures for locks, gates, and entry systems
  • Locating and operating circuit breakers and lighting controls
  • Safe and efficient use of refrigerators and cold storage units
  • Routine checks and basic troubleshooting of facility tools
  • Procedures for reporting technical issues or malfunctions

Frequency
This training must be completed:

  • During onboarding for all new employees
  • As part of routine annual refresher training
  • Whenever new equipment is introduced or existing systems are updated

By completing this course, you will gain the practical knowledge required to confidently use and manage the everyday tools and systems that keep the gym running smoothly, safely, and comfortably for staff and clients alike. Additional modules will be added as new equipment becomes available.
