Certification Standards for Trainers at Castro Fitness

At Castro Fitness, we collaborate exclusively with independent trainers who hold the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Certification—a fundamental qualification required to work as a personal trainer.

This certification must be obtained from an organization accredited to provide training for CPT programs. In the United States, the most widely recognized accrediting body is the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), which sets rigorous standards to ensure the quality and professionalism of certification programs.

We recognize certifications from numerous respected organizations accredited by NCCA, and all certifications must remain valid. If the accreditation of a certifying organization lapses, is withdrawn, or is not renewed, trainers must provide an updated certification from another organization accredited by NCCA.

This approach ensures that all trainers meet the highest standards in fitness and health, providing our clients with a safe, effective, and professional training experience.

The Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education, standards, and accreditation services for credentialing professionals. Their website offers resources on best practices, certification programs, and industry news to support the development and maintenance of high-quality credentialing programs.
