At Castro Fitness, the Code of Conduct: Member Obligations Policy defines the standards of behavior and responsibilities expected of all members. This policy ensures a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone using our facilities.
1. Respectful Conduct
- Members must treat all staff, trainers, and other members with respect and courtesy.
- Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behavior, including but not limited to physical violence, yelling, offensive language, or throwing objects, is strictly prohibited.
- Any violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the premises and permanent termination of membership without refund.
2. Compliance with Gym Policies
- Members are required to follow all posted rules, staff instructions, and the terms of this policy.
- This includes proper use of equipment, adherence to gym hours, and compliance with hygiene and dress code standards.
- Failure to follow gym policies may result in temporary suspension or termination of membership.
3. Prohibition of Harassment and Discrimination
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind—based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics—is strictly prohibited.
- Any reports of harassment will be taken seriously and may lead to an immediate investigation and disciplinary action.
4. Health and Safety
- Members must ensure their actions do not jeopardize the safety or well-being of others.
- Members are responsible for cleaning equipment after use with the provided sanitizing products.
- Any misuse of gym equipment or failure to report hazards may result in penalties or termination of membership.
- Members should not attend the gym if they are feeling unwell or exhibit symptoms of contagious illnesses.
5. Personal Responsibility and Liability
- Members are responsible for their own safety while using gym facilities. Castro Fitness is not liable for injuries resulting from improper use of equipment or failure to follow safety guidelines.
- Members agree to release Castro Fitness from any liability for personal injury, loss, or theft of personal belongings.
6. Prohibition of Unauthorized Recording
- Photography or video recording is only permitted in designated areas and must respect the privacy of other members and staff.
- Unauthorized recording of individuals without their consent is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate membership termination.
7. Damage to Property
- Members are responsible for any damage caused to gym property, whether intentional or due to negligence.
- Members may be required to pay for damages and could face suspension or termination of their membership.
8. Conflict Resolution
- Members are encouraged to resolve disputes respectfully. If conflicts cannot be resolved amicably, members should report the issue to gym management for assistance.
- Management decisions regarding disputes or conflicts are final.
9. Membership Termination and Refunds
- Castro Fitness reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships for violations of this policy, inappropriate behavior, or failure to comply with gym rules.
- Memberships terminated due to policy violations are not eligible for refunds.
10. Policy Updates
- Castro Fitness reserves the right to update or amend this Member Obligations Policy at any time.
- Updates will be communicated to members via email or posted on our official website.
11. Zero-Tolerance Policy
- Castro Fitness operates under a zero-tolerance policy for violations of the above obligations.
- Immediate action, including removal from the premises or termination of membership, may be taken at the sole discretion of management.
By becoming a member of Castro Fitness, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Member Obligations. This policy is subject to updates to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
